Terms and conditions

Last updated 4 November 2026

These terms apply to every order you place with Aylah, on this website or on WhatsApp. They don't take away any of your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). Where these terms and the law differ, the law wins.

The physical address above is also where legal documents may be served on us.

2. Using this website

The product photos come from our supplier. Colours can look slightly different on screens, so ask us on WhatsApp for a video of the actual piece before you pay if colour matters to you. We work hard to keep prices and descriptions correct. If we discover a clear mistake in a price after you have ordered, we tell you before you pay and you can choose to cancel at no cost.

3. How an order becomes a sale

  1. You send an order. Checking out on this website sends us your order on WhatsApp and records it with us. This is a request to buy, not yet a sale.
  2. We confirm. We check stock in your size and colour with our supplier and reply on WhatsApp with the final total and payment details.
  3. You pay. The sale is concluded when your payment, or your lay-by deposit, reflects in our account. We buy your item only after that, so your size is reserved for you.

We run a weekly pre-order. Orders paid by Wednesday at 18:00 are collected from our supplier on Thursday and sent out on Friday. Orders paid later go out the following Friday. See the delivery policy for times and fees.

5. Lay-by

6. If an item sells out

Our supplier's stock changes quickly. If an item sells out after you have paid, we offer you another size, colour or item. If you'd rather not, we refund you in full within 7 days, and never later than 30 days.

7. Cancelling and returns

You may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Faulty goods are covered for 6 months. The details are in our returns and refunds policy.

8. Our responsibility

We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of good quality, as the CPA requires. We aren't responsible for losses that we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for delays caused by events beyond our control, such as courier strikes or load-shedding. If one of these delays your order by more than 30 days, you can cancel for a full refund. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

9. Messages and records

We agree that WhatsApp messages and emails between us count as written communication. We keep a record of your order, which you can ask for at any time. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

10. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us on WhatsApp or by email with your order number. We reply within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 7. If we can't agree, you can contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission (thencc.org.za).

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you placed your order is the one that applies to it. South African law governs these terms.
